| Tamaioasa Romaneasca: A member of the Muscat family, it has been reputedly present in Romania for over 2,000 years and known as the Romanian Moscatel. It is assumed to have originated in Ancient Greece. A Romanian grape variety used for the production of aromatic wines, and considered as something of a dessert wine, but also produces dry and sparkling wines. Some describe it as having aromas of acacia, basil, apricots, figs, honey, incense, linden, melon, pears, pineapple, quince and raspberry.
